About Susan continued...

Susan believes that Christians are commissioned to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of people all over the world. She is dedicated to empower them and put to use their wisdom, time, knowledge and experience to meet those needs. In 2007, she made a prayerful decision to mobilize people of all ages to make a difference in their own neighborhood and around the world and Seniors With A Mission was born.  In a short time, SWAM (as it's affectionately known) has grown from a hometown ministry to a global network of caring people.

In the fall of 2010, Susan moved to Arizona, where she is  a member of Living Word Bible Church in Mesa, and currently serves on staff there.  In early 2011, Susan was appointed to Governor Brewer's ArizonaSERVES Task Force (www.ArizonaSERVES.gov). Susan is passionate about this appointment and brings her unique vision to make a difference in her state.

Her challenge to all of us is...
"How can YOU make a difference?"

Our Mission

more...  ...we are putting "feet" to the teachings of Christ.  We do this humbly and with no expectation of any return. We welcome all volunteers and contributions from people and organizations and only seek to help and reach out to the world.  We present the gospel through our actions and lives.

It is our belief that the spirit of man lives forever and will be reunited with his/her resurrected body; it is our desire to see as many as possible, embrace Christ into their life and live eternally with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  We eagerly respond to invitations to minister specifically to that end.

What We Believe:

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he arose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father Almighty; and he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and life everlasting.     AMEN
